TOOLS TO UNDERSTAND YOUR STRENGTHS

Negotiation is something you'll no doubt encounter personally and in the workplace, but also in the boardroom. The thought of negotiating can stir strong reactions in people; making some squirm uncomfortably and others eager with anticipation.  No matter your level of comfort, it is important to prepare yourself for future negotiations by realizing your style, as well as the styles of others. This will help you position yourself and adapt to situations so the outcome is as close to win-win for all parties as possible.

One excellent tool to help you understand your negotiation style is the recording of our webinar 'Navigating the Five Styles of Negotiation Engagement'.  Dr. Yasmin Davidds, Founder & CEO of Women's Institute of Negotiation, delves into how you may want to be perceived during a discussion and how you can position yourself for success.  Another good reference on the topic comes from the article 'Negotiation Styles' from W2Wlink.com.
